Pink Laptops

Pink laptop computers are another weapon in the marketing arsenal of computer makers. For years they’ve been making boring grey and black laptops leaving consumers little choice. Now, though, they’ve started to expand their color scheme in the hopes of attracting more buyers. They don’t make the computer any better, but people like to have things that are personalized to them. You can pick the colors of your clothes and cellphones, not to mention your car, so why not your laptop? Lots of manufacturers are making laptops in pink these days, Dell is even advertising the fact with a brand new marketing campaign. The fact is makers have been making pink laptops for awhile, but it’s been sort of a niche market. You can tell by looking at the specs of the pink laptops they make. They tend to be small pink laptops, or what is commonly known as a netbook. It’s almost like they think a full featured pink computer won’t be bought by anybody because it isn’t businesslike enough, so they relegate all pink laptops to the “cheap pink laptop” bin.

Pink Notebook Laptops

There are plenty in this category of pink laptop computers, there’s pink Acer laptops, pink HP laptos, Sony and Dell even have one in their line. One of the best selling on Amazon at the moment is the Samsung NC10. If you want a larger full featured laptop then you’ll have to look to Sony and Dell. Sony makes a Pink VAIO, and Dell makes a Pink Inspiron. The Sony is a smaller laptop, but it isn’t really in the category of netbook. They make a 13 inch and a 14 inch model The Inspiron is the full featured deal, with a dual core processor and running Windows Vista. It comes in different variations, with different variations in price, with models from both Dell and Sony running around $1300.

Pink laptops are mostly marketed for women, I mean men sometimes wear pink, but it’s probably not going to be their computer color of choice.  Women tend to accessorize more then men so a pink computer or colored computer in general is going to be more in their style.  Still, color isn’t everything when it comes to clothes or computers.  If you’re looking for pink laptop computers make sure that features are your primary concern not the color.  You want the computer to do what you want, not just look good.  If your can’t what you want in the color you want then you can always get a pink laptop bag or skin.  It’s probably not the ultimate solution, but you want a computer to use, not just to help you look good.  Hopefully in the future computer makers will see that consumers want products that give them choices.  They can already get choices in the options and peripherals for their computers so why not color?  Car makers have been doing it like this for years, so do makers of other electronic products, so why can’t you have a pink laptop computers?
